Control your Emotions
This was one of my first real tests on a new rig, and it's the piece where the facial controls finally clicked for me the moment I realized how much range I actually had to work with. It's a fast emotional swing on a single head shot: shock snapping into anger, anger tipping into a wide, unsettling grin, then settling back down, all compressed into just a few seconds. Because there's no body or dialogue to lean on, every beat had to be sold through the face alone eyebrows, eye shape, and mouth all changing together fast enough to feel like a real, involuntary reaction rather than a slow slider move. It's an early piece, but it's the one where I first felt like I actually understood a facial rig instead of just poking at it.
